OBS Screen Recording Black Screen?

When I record I can hear my microphone and audio perfectly except when I record the screen is black. How do I fix it? Thanks!

There are certain things you have to do to set up OBS correctly. YouTube "OBS Recording Settings" and you will certainly find a useful guide.

What capture method are you using? Game capture isn't working in all the games (older ones have more troubles). So you could try window capture or desktop capture or use 3rd party method like Dxtory.

Many games require you to run them in borderless windowed mode to broadcast. This is likely the reason your local recordings aren't working properly.

Do you have any sources, right click on sources.  Click New Source, and choose a source where you want to record from, afterwards click okay and then click record. You see, a source tells OBS where to record.  Hope this helps
