Good medium to big sized dedicated on camera flash diffuser

I'm new in photography but I feel I'm going to the correct direction in proggressing myself.

 

Now I'm learning how to properly execute low-light shots for mid range and macro. It needs a tripod in some cases, but for some other cases It still has to be handheld, for that reasons then I found that flash + diffuser is the way to go because with flash popped out my camera is like automatically locking the shutter speed at 1/60 seconds at whatever ISO and aperture if I'm not misinterpret it, so, sharp/detailed image will be likely be captured if focused correctly regardless how the light is as long as the flash is popped out compared to flash off.

 

Currently I just use a janky DIY (2 layers A4 paper + little bit of cardboard) diffuser for my camera built-in flash and attach it on the hot shoe, when I first time used it, not to mention how it compares to the real diffuser/softbox, only compared how it was vs bare flash and flash off by my own trials, the IQ in almost dark-low light with diffuser was really blew my mind. But this can't last long because it's damaged very easily, so I need a good medium-large (more surface area than an A4 paper) diffuser to be attached to the camera flash. I think A4 paper surface area is still not enough for my use cases.

 

I will get myself a better on-camera flash to be paired with the diffuser I'm looking for.

 

I'm looking for one without being bulky like soft box but has a good amount of surface area.

 

So what is good and durable diffuser under trusty brand I can get?

Does godox make good products?

That's unfortunate if I have to use a bulky tool attached on camera, but I might try it though.

they make decent midrage. their stuff is well rated.

Ok thanks, I'll find a way to make it work but still unsure about a softbox attached to camera, and in the mean time I'll still try to find a diffuser I wanted instead of softbox until I can't really find it.
