Hi all,

I've got a (very noisy) HP Proliant DL180 G6 with dual Xeon X5667s and I'm planning to watercool it. I saw in a recent LTT video that EK(?) make a small form factor rad that'd probably work great in this build so I thought now would be a good time to give it a shot.

I've never done anything with custom loop watercooling before but I'm pretty confident I can pull it off. The only thing I'm struggling with is finding a block that will fit socket 1366. I'm looking for part numbers or links to items in the UK.

Cheers,

Josh

Yeah, it's an old server but I got it for an absolute steal! It's currently my Folding@Home and pfSense (firewall + routing) rig so it's running flat out pretty much 24/7. I've actually moved my gaming rig out of that room due to the fan noise. I've not looked at the actual dB but it's audible in every room of the house.

The only way i can think about is to use normal cpu waterblocks like EK and make a custom mounting solution, or use am4 waterblock and drill a couple holes in it

Cheers, I'm going to take some measurements and see what I can rig up. I'm assuming it'd be combination of standoffs and spacers in this order from the bottom up:

Countersunk M4 Bolt > Bottom of Case > Spacer > Motherboard > Standoff > Waterblock > Cap Top M4 Bolt
