DVI-D port on motherboard as a pass-through for GPU

I have an Asus B350 Prime Plus that has a DVI-D port on the back and I was wondering that port can be used as a pass through to the main GPU since my 1600 doesn't have an iGPU. I'm getting a new GPU but it does not have a DVI port, which is the only input one of my monitors can accept. Therefore, does the DVI port work as a pass through or is it only for the ryzen chips that DO feature an iGPU?

Without integrated graphics, the ports on the motherboard are totally inactive

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Fortunately HDMI to DVI adapters/cables are dirt cheap.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7
