Reason for upgrade: warzone FPS fluctuating between 80-120

I like playing competitive so want to optimise $ spent for low latency and high fps not visual/texture.

would like to play at 240fps.

any components I should keep or best sell all and start fresh?

thanks for any tips!

You will need a new system to achieve what you want,

depending on the model of the PSU you may be able to use it in the new system.

What country are you in and how much money would you be willing to spend on a new system (if it came to that)?

I have about £750 I could put towards it right now then I could spend whatever I get for my system in used market, I would want to leave room to upgrade later too, do you think I could take the GPU to new system and upgrade that later?

Would the GPU not be able to do for a few months?

The 980 TI is good, but it can't do 240 FPS in this game.

Your bar is too high,Even with the 9900K and 2080 Ti will struggle to get there at 1080p low settings,

With the 9900K and 2080 Ti you will get about 220 FPS.

Do I need the 9900k do you think for that FPS?

I can get the 9900k if it’s necessary, as for where my bar is set I want to hit stable 144 now, but leave room to upgrade towards 240hz later, I can wait til card prices come down at the end of the year and then maybe afford the 2080 ti or something close when next gen brings them down. But I’m hoping that 9900k isn’t needed for 240hz, save some money and get ryzen 9 or last gen i9 or something?

240fps in Warzone is a pretty ridiculous goal. I doubt that will happen with hardware until the game is no longer being played.

The reason people buy 240hz displays is for things like ULMB. You play at 120fps.

Even if you buy the 9900K and the 2080 Ti you won't achieve 240 FPS in this game unless you go 720p...

But that combo is very close to it in 1080p.
