Just got my first IPS monitor today VG279QM from amazon and I remembered to test for IPS glow. 

Took this photo with auto setting off on my phone and at 80 brightness on the monitor. Took a picture from an older phone as well lools about the same can't upload it here though.

Photos can be hard to judge compared to what your eyes see, but that looks awful.

That’s up to you. When your actually using the monitor does it bother you.

I don't really care since I don't play dark games and I came from a 60hz TN panel but if I'm thinking of selling of this monitor or something then id be better if it didn't looks so bad on camera

it looks much brighter on the photo than it actually is when you look at it, if you're trying to sell at some point it, just put up a white picture so you can see no dead pixels. I'd say everyone buying an IPS that actually cares will know about the glow and will look at it in person.
