I use WD Red 4TB drives and never had any issues, however there was some controversion about them just recently but that was mainly concerning 24/7 NAS usage.

Else the Seagate Ironwolves are highly regarded and e.g. Linus and Team use them in pretty much all their servers.

Edit: they are (both AFAIK) available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and even 14 and 16 TB options, so you'll find one that suits your needs perfectly.

Why do you need 7200rpm?

5400rpm is more than plenty for moves and photos, and probably faster than the 2tb drive you have now as bigger drives are faster aswell.

Its a bit faster, but the speed really won't be needed for your use case.

For downloads, your almost always network limited, and for transfer, its probably faster than your other drives.
