Um can a I5 8600k and a 500 watt power supply with 16 gigs of ram ddr4 run with a RTX 2060 Super or is it bottlenecking ?

500W is plenty, that system will not draw more than 300W MAX under load. PSU quality is a whole different question. What is the exact PSU model?

Decent enough, You should have no issues at all, like I said 500W is plenty. If your upgrade hardware again I would consider a 550W+ PSU that is of higher quality. 

 

For reference I have an 8-core R7 1700 and a RX 580 8GB (power hungry) running off a 450W PSU without any issues. I have never seen it draw more than 325W under full load.

No probs! Happy to help  

 

Also, PSU calculators always overestimate (if you checked any) as they get numbers from adding the max power draw of each competent, which in the real world NEVER happens.

Yea i used a calculator but then i came here and ppl were saying that they exaggerate and what not .
