DSLR Camera Software

Earlier this year, I found a decently old DSLR camera in my attic, that I re-purposed into a webcam for my stream. It is a Canon EOS Rebel T3. The proprietary digital software for it is available, but I have lost my key for it. I have been using SparkoCam Digital Camera software with a watermark (I just crop the watermark out), but recently it has been crashing a lot. Are there any other free DSLR camera softwares out there that are compatible with mine?

I believe if you have the camera's serial number you should still be able to download Digital Photo Professional (DPP).

what are you using to connect the camera to your computer?

Oh... um... I think DPP is photos only. But the link may give you access to other Canon software, too. Sorry, didn't read the whole original post. ^_^;;

correct me if im wrong, but doesnt only the *i* line of canon rebel cameras record video? you would need a camera that normally can capture video to use it as say a webcam

I am currently using as a webcam just fine ... the only problem is that the software I am using right now is probably outdated, so it keeps crashing.

try just adding it as a source in like obs?

It does not work by itself ... to add it in OBS, I have to add SparkoCam as the source
