Specs:

1080ti

ryzen 5 3600

2x8GB 3000Mhz CL14

I've found a deal on a used 2k 144hz with freesync monitor it has same price as a 2K 75Hz display but i don't know if my system can keep up with but even if it can't wouldn't it be worth it given the price?

Depending on the game, the 1080ti should be able to keep up pretty well. Most games should be able to be ran at at around high settings at 144hz(sometimes medium), although some newer AAA games are horribly optimized, and you'll get lower framerates, but since this monitor supports freesync that shouldn't be an issue. For the majority of games this is a pretty good pairing. Value-Wise, you'd have to figure out if its worth it for you, but since the price is pretty cheap, in my opinion it is.

should be worth the price, you might not be able to get full 144 fps on the most demanding title but should still get above 60 which is already worth the spending, I'll go for it if I were you
