I'm looking for a basic 2Tb SSD for my other half's PC to give it a general speed boost in Windows and game loading times.

I've had a look at the Crucial BX500 and MX500, but really any suggestions would be good. Is it generally worth paying the extra for TLC over QLC for this sort of use?

Thanks!

🙄

Any SSD will do what you're trying to accomplish. Either or is fine.

PC: Ryzen 5-3600 / MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus / 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 / MSI RTX 3070 Ventus 3x / Phanteks P400S / Gigabyte G34WQC 34" Curved Ultrawide

Laptop: Lenovo X230 / OS X 10.15 Hackintosh (OpenCore)

F@H ID: Paroxy777

It is worth paying the extra only if it is a 5-10 usd in my opinion

the BX500 is good but it is a SATA drive, considering how cheap NVMe drives are these days, I would avoid it

either a intel 660p (this is QLC) or any other budget nvme like the crucial P1 (also QLC)
