R7 3700x 2 Different Temps in HWInfo

Go to solution Solved by HanZie82,

If im not mistaken (please correct me if so)
The CPU sensor on the motherboard is actually on the motherboard itself and the Tdie ones are on the dye (the actual CPU).

Hello so here's my problem:

After installing my 3700x I stress-tested to ensure stability because of the overclock. I monitored the CPU Temps with HWInfo and Aida64. I was confused after noticing that my CPU (Tctl/Tdie) Temps in HWInfo were arround 95° with a Dark Rock Pro 4. Further down the sensor list is another CPU Temp reading from the motherboard (See attachment) which is 65° (same as Aida is displaying). Which one is the real CPU temp?

Thanks.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Alright so that 95° on the die is normal because it's before the heat has been transferred to the Heat sink. That makes sense, thanks!
