2.5 g switch

was wondering if anyone knew of an affordable switch that supports at least 3 2.5g connections? 

I have three systems I want to upgrade the connection on between my Nas server, virtualization server, and editing rig. 

Everything I found so far was over 400$ when I went looking. Was hoping to find something under 200.

If none exist, I might just put two in the Nas and direct connect my other machines to it. 

If anyone knows of any, that would be appreciated.

Id just do the direct connection. But anouther option is a cheaper 10g switch like the mikrotik ones, then add some 10g base-t transcivers.

The Mikrotik option also has mGig receivers if you already had 2.5 Gbps NICs.

 

They released this guy https://mikrotik.com/product/crs305_1g_4s_in which sounds like it might fit your use case.

Yeah, i already have a couple of nics currently. That looks like it might work well just need sfp to rj45 connectors.

Actually in the notes those only support up to two modules due to power, so that might not be the best choice.

Good catch. I'll keep looking. Might just end up wiring them directly at this rate. Thank you fit the heads up on that one.
