After installing Windows (Reinstall) do I need to update BIOS Driver again? or just GPU driver?

Mark30031

Which Drivers should I update? GPU? If I had before the Windows Reinstall the latest BIOS update, will I need to update it again?

and I'm asking this question again just to make sure :

If I reinstall windows, will my regedit changes I did before and also some shitty CMD commands I used to "boost PC" go back to default and i'm all good to go ^^? cuz I did a mistake before with Regedit and CMD commands so I hope the reinstall made everything go back to default...

The BIOS of a motherboard is not linked to you operating system. So no, you don't need any updates regarding the BIOS. But everything you did in your Windows installation will be back to normal.

Do you absolutely need to? No. But I'd highly recommend it. Windows will install drivers on its own but I still always download the latest drivers for my GPU after a clean install as one of the first things I do.

You may ask for registry default values here, on forum. If you know which ones you changed.

If you reinstall Windows, everything in Windows folder, user folder and programs folder... Actually everything in boot drive, will be reseted. Unless you choose to save them. Even then, every driver, software and settings in Windows will be reseted. If you choose to restore Windows, it will leave your personal files and most of the software untouched. But every setting and driver in Windows will need to be installed, setup again.
