I understand some people hate fortnite but I tried asking on a fortnite subreddit and no luck besides a single troll now I have a

Ryzen 3 1200 Quad Core

8 GB of Ram 2400 MHz

Geforce GTX 1050Ti

And my issue is that textures wont load at all and the game its self runs "fine" in a way it's only just the textures. My GPU is only reading .1% for Fortnite while my CPU is trying to carry it with 90% - 99% CPU usage. I checked for lasted drivers and I already have them, I've went in NVIDIA settings and tried messing around with the settings of Manage 3D settings for Fortnitebut no luck. I saw a post on LinusTechTips withsimilar specs https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/961548-low-gpu-usage50-in-fortnite/ but this person seems to be getting 50% while I get .1% I mean its obviously bottle necking but I've tested other games and they use my GPU to the max its just Fortnite I have a problem with. I've played Fortnite for some time now with issue but it was probably doing the same thing just I never realized it till now. I appreciate all of the help I could get. The images below are of Fortnite it self and Task manager.

Use something like Afterburner or HWinfo64 to look at utilization and I'll bet your GPU usage is much higher than 0.1 percent. Task Manager is unreliable, especially with GPU usage since you have to make sure it's actually displaying the correct metric. In your screen shot you can see it's registering 0.1% usage for 'GPU 0 - Copy' function, which is NOT the function that's used to render 3D applications like games.

But, I'll also vote for a fresh driver installation after using DDU to get rid of the old ones. Might also try reinstalling Fornite as well.

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!

it is the ram. I had the same problem with only 8gigs ram on my old system. Bying the same 8gig stick that you already have and installing it will fix your issue 90%.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

I'm sorry but no. 8 gigs for a game that doesn't necessarily have the greatest textures is fine

It's probably a drivers issue or a UEFI problem

fortnite has better graphics now. before the better graphs i had the same problme with 8gigs of ram. after adding another 8 gigs it worked. fortnite+ system eats about 10-13 gigs of ram.

What?

No not even aaa games use that much

Encoding in 4k does, not literally playing a game

Also I don't play fortnite and I know it doesn't have the most amazing graphics

A game simply won't take up that much ram

Maybe a game plus encoding/ multi tasking etc but simply a game by it self won't use that much
