Dropping Lan constantly

RoflWaffles02

I just upgraded to Ryzen, and I am having problems with my internet connection.  I have a wifi Range extender connected to my pc through an ethernet cable.  Every so often, my internet will drop, saying that windows has detected a network but is unable to connect to the internet.  When i wiggled the ethernet cable around, it would connect, but lose it shortly after. I tried installing a new ethernet card, thinking the port on the mb was bad.  This helped the situation for a few days, but now the problem is back.  The range extender is known good, the cable is known good, and my router is known good.  I am thinking the mb is defective, but would like suggestions before I rip apart the pc to replace the mb.

MB: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

GPU: Gigabyte 2060 Super

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V

Ethernet card: Tp-Link 3468

Range extender: Netgear EX3700

Cable:  Amazon basics

Router: Basic Verizon router

If possible, I would try to connect it directly to the router first just to see if has something to do with the WiFi extender. When troubleshooting always try the easy first.
