GPU drivers wont install properly

I swapped out my 3570k for a 3600, reinstalled windows which was a problem itself, now that im in windows i cant manage to do anything that requires 3d accelaration from the gpu, i also get random black screens for a couple seconds.

16gb Gskill 3600 cl19 ram

GTX 960 

MSi tomahawk max

sandisk 120gb ssd

If it's a clean OS install, it sounds like a problem with the GPU itself.

the thing is the gpu worked perfectly before

Did you update the BIOs and all firmware?
