Hi loving this foing@home thing during this not so easy times. I was just wanting to make sure that I am reading the right amount of PPD for my cpu. It was originally at like a 98K and is now at 1.1mil. I am running the 3950x stock with at -.1v core offset. I am also only lending 26 threads. How is it possible that I'm getting more PPD than say a 1070. Just wondering thanks for the feed back happy folding!

CPUs and GPUs do different kinds of WU.  They don’t really compare well.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Ah okay nvm then so its just a lot for a cpu WU gotcha but isn't it still a lot of PPD?

No clue.  For me ppd means “plasmatic pulsar device”

PPD is Pionts Per Day , so a grand total of all WU's points you have completed in a 24hr period. The 3950X is no slouch and then add a decent GPU to add more points on its time and you got yourself a decent performer. Maybe even a slightly higher electric bill too lol, thank you from the global community for you efforts!

Yah I ran the numbers and it comes to about 34$ more a month for electric. But my last bill was only 65$ so I was thinking during this time where the electric companies are waving the bills for the upcoming month cuz of the COVID-19 that I would use the "free" power I am getting because of it.

That project has only a base credit of 800 points but as your providing quick results with 26 threads and a Frame Time (TPF) of only 14 seconds your getting a really nice Quick Return Bonus (QRB) for a Estimated Credit of ~ 15,500 points. Some CPU jobs will not perform as well as that one which is pretty big with an atom size of 168,155 so it's really taking advantage of your 3950.

Ah okay well then I'm glad that my gaming system can be of good use!
