Hello!

After a long time of only working on an apple laptop I decided to build again a new pc.

I built one back in 2015 (back in europe), but of course now I am not very up to date and the decision to build one came pretty sudden.

I tried to research as much as possible, but I would appreciate any kind of help, tips.

Country: I live in Japan

Use: casual gaming

Price range : Aiming for around 1500 us dollars.

RGB: all of it

I created a built, I hope the link is correct. Of course I want to go all out on RGB ...

Especially graphic cards I am absolutely clueless.

Thank you already in advance and please let me know if you need more information. (I am sure I forgot something).

Best!

Furo

you're spending more on the cooler than on the cpu.

you don't need 32gb of ram for light gaming. not even for heavy gaming

asus b450 boards are bad, go with msi

samsung drives are overpriced

after making all the changes above, you'll afford a 2070 super

the case is again quite expensive, you could save some money there.

in summary, go with @Plouffe's build

Thank you very much for the quick reply!

More than performance, and I know it might sound unbelievably stupid, but this time I rly would like to focus on the looks of the system.

Therefore, the Lian Li case and the RGB memory (corsair rgb fans) are kind of a must, but I will take the other parts into consideration and make a new build !

When your CPU cooler costs more than your CPU :(

Stock 3600 cooler is more than adequate.

16GB is fine for light gaming, 32 is for heavily modded games.

both motherboards you picked are bad

I guess so . Nevertheless , he could also go for a MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX.

Because the b450 chipset is good, X570 that has support for pci gen 4 and a rx5700 xt that uses pci gen 4?

My build is far better for less, you don't get a 3600x to use an AIO with it since both performs the same, 3600x just comes with a better cooler.

This x570 MSI is bad and overpriced. The Prime P/TUF would be a way better pick. Gen 4 is useless for 99.99% of the people.

5700XT is not better than a 2080S and doesn't need pcie gen 4 to works at it's full potential.

The SSD you picked is overpriced.

The PSU you picked is overpriced and overkill.

Quote us so we see your answer.

You can go with a 5700XT Sapphire Nitro+ or Powercolor Red Devil, it's close enough of the 2070S performance while costing less. It will be more than enough for your needs.

Hi again and thanks alot for all your input.
I read alot in the forum yesterday and tried to make a new list incorporating your comments and make a more balanced build.

My main focus on this build however, is definitely looks (trying to go white as much as possible) and therefore I am willing to spend more on certain parts like AIO and the case.

Therefore I would really appreciate if you could get a check if everything is compatible or if I run into problems. I was intel pc all my life so far so I am very unsure.

Thx alot for your support for a noob like me =O
