GPU for i5 2500K

Hi,

I'm in high school and I want to do some light gaming with my i5 2500k. I'll be playing games like CS:GO, LoL and Fortnite (maybe even Roblox 馃槀) all at聽1080p with medium/high settings.

I have no idea as to which GPU I should choose. I've been leaning towards the RX 570 but idk, also I live in New Zealand so my options aren't that great.

My PSU is Cooler Master GX 550W Bronze.

Any help will be appreciated.

No. You should be able to get an RX 570 for that though, which is waaay more powerful.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

Okay thanks, I'm looking for something a bit cheaper though because the RX 570 price is quite expensive in NZ聽(it's around $150 USD).

There's about 5+ years in advancement between the GTX 660 and RX 570, there's no comparison between them really.聽

Used RX 470/480 are also options that might be cheap while delivering good performance.

You need to quote or tag people.

The 660 really isn't worth anything. Maxwell cards (some of the 700 series) are really were the line should be drawn, and that's at bare minimum.

That's what I initially was going for, but I couldn't find any local used rx 470 (or even new)

As @JoostinOnline聽mentioned above, I'd draw the line at Maxwell for Nvidia (900 series), or聽Hawaii for AMD (R9 200 series).

Look for deals on the R9 290, or GTX 970 or 980. These are still older cards at this point, but still very capable of decent 1080p gaming in recent AAA titles.
