i am trying to trouble shoot a problem that i am having with my pc and i am going to the step of reinstalling windows. i tried to use the built in reset windows feeature but it says there was a problem resting windows nothing has changes. i am going to delete windows from this drive but im not sure how to do it. i have a flashdrive with windows on it but i need to clean the hard drive of windows first. instructions would be helpful. thanks

You don't need to clear the hard drive first.

When you boot from the USB, it will ask you where to install windows. From that screen, you can delete all active partitions and make new ones, which will delete all data on your drive. (if you have an external drive or other drive you don't want to erase, make sure it's the right one that you're deleting, unplug them if you're unsure)
