Hey guys, going to build my first computer, and because of the big amount of cables i'm a bit nervous about plugging the cables on the right place and the right way. Does anybody has a site or ytb channel (besides LTT) where i could find some good help and information about cables ? Thanks

The manual for your PSU, case and motherboard? Builds guides?

Really, the only things you need to know about cables are:

- there's the 20+4 pin (24 pin) ATX connector which plugs into the motherboard, on the right hand side

- 4+4 pin (8 pin) EPS, which plugs into the top left

- 6 pin/6+2 pin (8 pin) PCIE, which plugs into your videocard

- SATA, which plugs into your SSD (unless it's an M.2), HDD, optical drive or maybe some hub/controller.

These can all only plug in one way

Then there is case cabling, which you just follow your motherboard manual for (other than the front panel headers, these also only plug in one way)

And then you have the other cables, SATA data and fan cables, which plug into the motherboard. These can only plug in one way.

Did you have any specific questions about cables?
