So I’m fixing my friends pc that he messed up and I thought while I’m at it I might as well give him my hyper 212 evo instead of the stock intel cooler that came in it. I’m going through the process of taking it off and it’s just like.. not coming off..? I checked for glue and made sure the things on the back of the cooler weren’t still going through the motherboard and everything checked out. All I can think of is cyberpower used some thermal glue instead of normal thermal paste? Any information would be great thanks y’all

I assume you followed these steps?

The thermal paste may just be 'sucking down' onto the CPU. i would run a stresstest for a bit and try again.
