Fun, although kind of disappointing how different it is from Doom(2016). The story is confusing as hell, don't know how we got a command ship or any of that shit, just cuts from the ending of Doom(2016) talking to Hayden then in this one you're killing hell priests teleporting around the planet with a command ship, talking to ghost kings and shit I don't know, plus it's much more arcade-y which is both good and bad, good in the sense it's like OG Doom titles and bad in a sense that it feels to me like a step in the wrong direction from Doom(2016) almost like it's an older game. And the gameplay feels a bit more clunky, I'm sure they will polish it a bit more, but it's definitely not as good as Doom(2016). Don't get me wrong it's a fun game that runs very well, but I don't think so far that it was worth the 4 year wait or that it even feels like they took their time to make it. The only reason I haven't refunded it yet is because it's fun and I'd like to wait and see if it get's an update here soon to fix some of the clunkiness and bugs.

Played a couple of hours this morning before having to do some work, and I like it! Graphics are really nice, action is great, the mechanics are cool... story seems a big WTF, but that's not what I'd play a DOOM game for really. I fear it might get a bit repetitive, but we'll see.

I haven't played 2016 (yet) so I guess I don't have a reason to be disappointed.

I wish there would be less arena fights. A 3xA Version of Project Brutality would be the ultimate.

It's absolutely awesome. Single player is everything I hoped for eg., a faster, more varied version of Doom 2016.

As for the multiplayer battle mode, so far I don't like it, but I only played a few matches and I don't know wtf I'm doing. I'm definitely sad it doesn't have deathmatch.

Asus Prime X370 Pro

Samsung 860 EVO 500GB

Noctua NH-U14S

Seasonic M12II 620W

+ four different mechanical drives.
