I am pricing out a new PC build as many of my existing parts are quite dated and was a budget streaming build when I had a less substantial budget. I would still like to keep this new PC cost under 800 and thought about recycling some parts (PSU, RAM) but was wondering should I also recycle my Case or go with a new one??

What is the case? Is it sufficient for the new parts you intend to add in your system. Do you like your current case your do you want to buy a new one that looks nicer or has more features.

My Rig:

CPU: Intel i5 2500k 4 Cores, 4 Threads @ 4.5ghz ( asus uefi regulates BIOS and adjusts it, there is no manual option, so I can't get any higher than 4.5, but I theoretically should be able to get higher once I get a voltage "changeable" mobo

MOBO: Asus P8Z68 LE

RAM: Kingston HyperX Predator 2133mhz ddr3 2x8 16GB

GPU: GTX 980 TI 150+ core, 100-150 ( I forgot )+ mem ( OC )

HDD: 500GB 3D MLC Samsung SSD ( soon ) + 2tb 7200rpm Seagate Constellation ES.2 SAS / LSI MegaRaid MR Raid/SAS Controller

CASE: Phanteks P350X

OS: Windows 10 64-bit / Void Linux

PERIPHERALS: IBM Model M 1984, Logitech G703 Mouse, Logitech G502 Mouse, Philips SHP9500 w/ V-Moda Boom Pro hooked up to my Sony AMP ( forgot model name, to lazy to find out )

Laptop: Gateway P-7805u FX

CPU: 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2c/2t

RAM: 8GB DDR2 1066mhz sodimm

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9800M GTS

HDD: 320GB 7200rpm hard drive 2.5"

SSD: Kingston A400 250GB SSD

SCREEN: Glossy 16:9 1440x900

please give details of new and old specs and about the case

Don't have new case in mind. The one's I've looked at tend to be equivelant to what I currently have. Current case is https://pcpartpicker.com/product/krTmP6/rosewill-case-blackhawkblue the same chassis featured in the link, but without all the blue trim. I like the case, and deffinitely prefer the ports featured on the top of the case; but am wondering if its generally ok to recycle a case if you clean it out first? This case has alot of mesh and cleaning would be a huge pain but not a deal breaker.

In staying within an 800 USD budget, it does free up about 70-120 bucks that would have gone into a new case, for now pushing the GPU into the next tier card.

Assuming you're staying with an $800 budget, Personally I'd only recommend spending around $50 on a case, and fortunately there's a lot of good options at that price point.

Cougar MX330 (many variations [X, G, G-Air, etc], some are on sale depending on when you're shopping)

Fractal Design Focus G (comes with two pre installed white LED fans, and comes in five colors [Black Gray Blue Red White])

At $60 ($50 after MIR at time of writing), you can get the P300A which combines both good airflow with good build quality especially at this price point. Doesnt come with front fans though.

MettalicGear Neo Air is also normally $60 (but is $50 with MIR at time of writing) but comes with two blue LED fans at the front, making it one of the strongest contenders in this lineup.

Awesome options, especially the Mettalic Gear Neo Air! While I do appreciate good RGB cooling is definitely something I am more concerned about this time around.

All four of these cases would do for cooling (thoguh the ones without fans would obviously need them)

The case fans included in the Neo Air and Focus G (and the MX330-G air) aernt going to be top quality or anything, but at an $800 budget, any extra fans you have to buy would means money away from a CPU cooler or maybe a few bucks towards a much larger SSD or HDD. So having is is a drastic improvement over no front fans at all.
