Im building a budget Gaming Rig Centered around a Ryzen 5 2600, don't have a clear picture of some parts though so i was hoping for some help figuring out what to get and opinions on what im getting for now, (Trying to stay around or under £600, if thats not possible please indulge me to a more reasonable price range, im not really an expert at this). Not planning to play triple A titles with Ultra graphics by any means, just enough to get a good experience.

Current Plans:

  • Cpu: Amd Ryzen 5 2600 - £110 (Cooler Included)
  • Motherboard: Asus Prime B450M-A - £70
  • Chassis: Metallicgear 520 Series Neo Air (with an Added fan) - £64
  • Ram: G.Skills Ripjaws (16Gb) £81
  • Psu: Undecided
  • Gpu: Undecided, but my guts tell me an Rx580 is the right choice.
  • Ssd/Hdd: Undecided (Ssd or Hdd??)

Here's my take based on what you posted:

A little over £600, but the 1660S offers a pretty significant boost in performance over the RX 580. If you can't go over, then the 580 would still be a great choice, or you could go for a 1650 Super which is about on par with the 580 in terms of raw performance, but consumes about half the power.

Speaking of power, if you want a modular PSU, a TX550M would be a great choice, and it's also not much more expensive than the CX550. Additionally it brings higher quality components along with higher efficiency.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC
