Windows 10 can't see nintendo pro controller

Cyan101

Hi, I have a nintendo switch pro controller that I used to use on my pc, after reinstalling windows and changing MB/CPU I've found windows doesnt even detect when I plug in my pro controller, let alone try get drivers for it.

I'm using a USB A to C data cable and using it on my roommates computer works fine and it instantly shows up, but on my PC (latest windows 10 pro) it doesnt appear, my PC is fully updated, restarted multiple times and my 360 controller works fine, the USB port is also fine and works with the 360 and my phone so i'm sure its not the cord, usb port or the controller.

any thoughts?
