is there any way that I could make it so a game used the integrated graphics on my cpu instead of my gpu?

Why do you want to do this, power saving? Laptops should already do it automatically.

I guess it would depend on what components you have.

minecraft is running poorly on my gpu for some reason and I was thinking that switching to the cpu would work

Sorry for the delay, but someone broke the server.

 

Anyway your 2700 has no iGPU in it so your only source for video is your 590.
