You know the thing I find interesting about PC gaming is

? How most of my pain and suffering, the stuttering, the crashes, etc are mostly with the multi platform games. I currently have about 14 games in my collection, and five of them are also on the console. These are also the games that seem to give me the most trouble, especially lately. What in the blue hell is that about anyway? Hitman 2 micro freezes randomly, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is giving me fits yet again with the stuttering. I'm updating my GPU with the latest drivers now, so hopefully this helps, because I certainly don't have the patience or will power to try and sit here racking my brain trying to fix it. All this time, the performance was perfectly fine, until now, all of a sudden. This shit better work.

sekiro is one of the worst ports from what i hear. Mostly just terrible ports cause the issues

Make no mistake, I've had issues with pretty much all of my games, PC exclusives included, especially on my old PC. Its been a much smoother experience overall with my new PC. The 'console ports' are the ones that have lately been giving me shit the most though. I can understand them building these games for the ground up for the console. If it plays well for the console, then it should definitely play very well on a decent PC. Its been the development cycle of Rockstar Games after all. This however is no excuse for the performance issues we continue to encounter. We're talking about games released a year, two, three years ago for fucks sake. The bugs and kinks should have been worked out by now, this is ridiculous.

? Yeah, the driver update didn't do shit, just like I thought. This is why I can't fucking wait to migrate over to the console. I'm waiting on that Xbox Series X. You don't see these issues nearly as much if at all on the console versions. From there on in, my multiplayer games in particular will be on the console, especially if its a console port. I had more fun playing multiplayer games on the console than I ever did in my entire tenure as a PC gamer the last 20 off years anyway. And people wonder why the mainstream market is still and always will be the console. You just can't beat a hassle free experience.

No PC game will work perfectly 100% of the time for 100% of the people. Too many variables.

The average PC elitist will lie with a straight face and claim otherwise though. You will hear them claim that in 20 years, I have never had an issue. Some of them will claim that there isn't an issue that isn't easy to fix, which is straight faced bull shit. And this is another issue I have with PC gaming. For some reason its our job to fix THEIR game for them. Its only in the game industry where they can get away with this without fines and lawsuits being levied. Its the reason why refunds should never expire, to keep these companies on their shit. I can't imagine the aviation industry for instance operating like the game and I.T industry, two industries that are joined at the hip.

Personally I have both a console and PC and I enjoy both of the platforms. I generally play different games, but there is overlap, and while I am aware of the graphical quality hit consoles experience, I don't really notice it as the gameplay takes precedence with me over graphical fidelity.

Do what's best for you. If there are too much hassle and headaches with the PC platform then it makes sense for you to switch. I hope it goes it well for you.

Well I'm not switching over entirely to the console, only certain games will be on the console from there on in. Multi platform/console ports are going on the console since they have caused me the most trouble. Multiplayer games will be on the console as well, such as the next Battlefield. Some single player games might stay on PC though, which will be decided on a case by case basis. I'd like to keep the Hitman series on PC, but they have lost my trust entirely since they did such a shit job optimizing Hitman 2 on PC.
