Mac OS requires particular BIOS settings that don't matter for Windows.

  • macOS requires specific BIOS settings, so you need to follow those closely.
  • macOS has no support of anything from nVidia after Kepler, or as of early 2020 anything recent at all, so you must use an older generation AMD graphics card like RX 580 to get proper graphics acceleration.
  • You should be able to download any version of macOS Installer using any Mac from Apple website as a concrete DMG file. The DMG file contains a single PKG file, which installs the actual system installer (/Applications/Install macOS Catalina.app) for you.
  • You should not use the F SKU as that will prevent you from using Sidecar and a few other features that relies on the integrated graphics. For those features your graphics don't matter at all. I would suggest a i5-9600K, as that is the exact same processor used in the 2019 iMac, along with that RX 580 8GB graphics.
  • You must make sure your Clover installation have apfs.efi file.
