Hey so im currently considering buying the TUF GAMING VG279QM. But after googling around im told that you can never reach the same response time as a TN panel, my question is will i be able to have the same response time with this monitor as my old ASUS MG248Q?

i've yet to see someone that actually notices the extra few ms of response time, let alone need the 1ms response time(well, besides esports professionals)

Well the monitor says its 1MS, im just asking around. And well there is the issue, i play Counter Strike at a rather high level.

as you said, ips panels don't have the same response time as tn panels. the question really is if you'll need it or notice the difference. what are you using your monitor for? what's the refresh rate?

280hz
supposedly 1ms

Top of the line TN gaming panels are indeed the fastest LCD panel available, however u can get some very fast IPS panels. Especially the newest 240hz 1080p IPS panels for example.

Still not as fast as TN, but fast enough for most and much better image quality.
