I recently built my first PC with a ryzen build. I have G.Skillz Ripjawz V memory, 32Gb at 3600 rated. Right now it runs at 2133. I've enables XMP in the bios but the speed hasn't changed. There is only 1 profile that shoes up when I enable it too. What do I need to adjust?

What are your system specs, and specifically your motherboard make and model.

Also, maybe try updating the BIOS first if you haven't.

you also need to specify the frequency, in Giganyte means changing the system memory multiplier to 36

First off, go to the Motherboard website and search for the "memory support list" for your specific model. There search for the exact SKU of your memory kit. Then come back and tell us if it's there. If it's listed, the XMP profile should work. If not, you may have to manually OC the kit to the highest stable frequency.

I checked the Gigabyte compatibility with the ram I have. It has a set that is close but off by one letter. Could it be that I have too much ram for xmp to work?

One letter can be the memory chip manufacturer, so effectively (although they look the same) they are completely different ram sticks.

The model of ram I have is F4-3600C16D-32GVKC, and attached is a image from the supported memory from the mobo manufacturer. The ram models in this area of the support list are all very similar. The sticks I have end with "32GVKC" which is nowhere on the list. Does this mean I'll have to adjust timings manually? Or is xmp just not supported with this kit? If it is though, how do I adjust the speeds to where they run at 3600?
