Weird app preventing shutdown (Windows 10)

Algebruh

There is an app that I have never seen or used before that is preventing shutdown.

Does anyone know what "GSPY HidDevice Window" is?

I can't seem to find this executable in task manager and service.msc.

Does my PC have virus?

Check if it's displayed in msconfig --> startup tab...

service might have a different name, when in doubt 4 sure run a virus scan.

A GSPY Device is generally a smart watch with GPS or GPS enabled mobile phone, have you connected either to your PC?

Is Windows defender scan good enough? It's the only virus scan available at the moment.

and try windows defender if not, and if you really think its a virus, some sites offer a free 30 day trial start, scan and end if needed. good luck.

Ive had this issue for like 3 months now and no antivirus sees anything weird. On the other hand im still very suspicious this is some sort of rootkit keylogger. I couldn't find a fix. Do you think this is a virus?

MSI Dragon Center would be specific to a piece of hardware. Are you using any kind of smartwatch, gaming keyboard/mouse, or other HID (human interface device). It is most likely caused by the driver/software related to some peripheral you have installed on your system.

I stumbled across this forum post while looking for some info about M.2 devices completely unrelated to GSPY related issues... And I think I might know why. 😆
Sometimes you'll run into this if your computer has a Wifi/Bluetooth adapter in one of its M.2 slots.
