Fast 1500-2000$ Gaming/Video Editing Rig WOULD THIS WORK??

Hey Guys,

I'm replacing my 5 year old desktop. This is my second desktop build, the first one is the one I'm replacing. 5 Years ago I wanted to build a simple gaming rig for only 500$, since I didn't have the knowledge to choose my own components, the shop dealer chose the pieces for me. After that I assembled them together and it worked!!!, but now It doesn't work very well anymore and I want to test my experience in computer hardware.

Today my parents have granted me a budget of 2000$ to build a new home/main computer (I've also heard about cloud gaming) for my family.
I'm planning to do some Video Editing for school and also gaming at high settings on it. I'm only using a 1080p monitor and I don't have any crazy Peripherals. Windows is not included in the price.

!!Remember I'm converting USD in SGD!!

This is my plan:

What can I do with the old Desktop? It's not strong enough to do video editing neither gaming.

Whats your power supply going to be? You could get a Corsair RM 550 Watt PSU. Those are pretty good fully modular power supplies.

It is going to be an Antec HCP-750 http://www.amazon.co...X/dp/B004BLMFY8,

it had good reviews and the looks of it are in line with the other components

Amazon does ship to Asia but the shipping costs are going to rack up especially for cases.

You can build a decent system with parts from your link. I'm suggesting an mATX build. The H80i would mount on the rear exhaust and you could move the stock fan there to the front. Should provide enough ventilation.

That's a pretty good rig but what about video editing? Will it cope with 1080p rendering?

I was also looking for an ATX design for 2000 SGD. I'm going to buy from this link instead, which has more choices http://sgpcmart.com/

Yes, an R9 280X can be used by most video editing software to accelerate rendering. If you have particular software provide the names and versions.

Here is a build from the alternate link provided. It's a little different in that it includes an Nvidia GTX 770.
