Does anyone know what happened to Savage Jerky? LTT doesn't seem to be sponsored by them anymore and they are always out of stock

I tried asking their customer support and Facebook group but got left on "read"

I think they sponsor periodicly. I have ordered from Savage Jerky and its worth every penny. Should point out that when I place an order, its like $50 ish each time. They do free shipping on $49 or more :D. Gotta get that free shipping.

ts better if you just buy local jerky and help support your neighbors.

My local Jerky comes from Walmart, and its not as fresh as Savage Jerky. No everyone has fresh local Jerky aviable. Plus Savage Jerky has some good flavoring.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

You don't have local farmers markets or farms that sell direct?

Typically when someone says buy local, they mean go to your local farmers market and buy jerky that a farmer literally made from his own cows.

Not really. Not in my city. Dont forget I live in Metro Detroit, while there are farms in Romulus, they are few and far between. I havent seen any cattle in the city eaither only horses. While Jack Links is okish Jerky it does not compare to the taste of Savage Jerky.

Have you ever been to the Eastern Market? I just googled "Detroit farmers market" and it was the first thing to come up:

Obviously there won't be any cattle in the city, but I'd be shocked if Michigan didn't do cattle farming in some capacity.

Personally, I think Jack Links is actually far better than Savage Jerky. In particular, the Teriyaki.

Have you ever been to Detroit? There’s like no cheap parking. And i live 28 miles from Detroit. The traffic alone will my road rage twitch. No to mention the $20 fucking it costs to park. Driving out to Detroit for me only occurs when I get Jury duty. Other than that I don’t go down to Detroit.

shrugs

I haven't been to Detroit since pre-9/11.

Never the less, if you don't have access to local beef jerky via a farmers market, that's a shame. Usually really good stuff. Savage Jerky isn't bad by any stretch - and is way better value if you're American, because shipping is a lot cheaper.

I've ordered it a few times, and enjoyed it. But I think Jack Links (especially if you get a relatively fresh package) tastes way better.

Thats with the assumption that you have a local company that makes jerky. Jerky isnt a huge market where every city has their own supplier. And just because its local doesnt mean its good or worth the price.

Personally i just buy whatever the store has on sale. I dont go for the crazy flavors though.
