Random shutdown

lxl_Arctic_lxl

Hello fellas, I figured I would come to you guys for some input. It seems like at least once a night my pc will randomly crash while I'm using it, even in non extensive applications. I have a ryzen 7 3800x with 32gb of 3600mhz ddr4 and running a rtx 2080 ti but I also have a 1600w psu. And running absolutely no over clocks on anything but it will still crash at random times. Any thoughts?

What kind of crashes are you experiencing? Is it shutting off completely and rebooting, blue screening, closing applications and freezing?

What PSU? have you tried another power outlet?

I have seen where a PC will will glitch from using certain power surge protected power strips, outlets etc... it CAN be a minefield trying to find out what exactly the problem in this situation. Sometimes using a UPS will help, but depends on how bad it is.

@paddy-stone Sorry for the late reply, but my pc is just shutting down entirely then I have to turn it back on. As far as my psu goes I have a corsair HXi 1200, not 1600 as a previously thought.
