so i currently have a ryzen 7 2700 at 4ghz on all 8 cores 16gb ram and a B450 tomahawk motherboard. im not happy with my B450 board so im considering an upgrade to an X570 board that way if i ever decide to upgrade to say a 3800x or a 3900x im ready. im trying to decide between the GIGABYTE X570 AORUS ELITE or the  ASUS AM4 TUF GAMING X570-Plus

the reason i chose these two boars is because there cheap im on disability so i dont have loads of money to spend on an upgrade below are links to the boards which board do you recommend and why when recommending a board assume that if i plan to toss in say a 3800 or 3900x that i plan to overclock said cpu on all cores to the max

Hey there,

both boards you have there are really good but I'd tend to the TUF board because the VRMs are slightly better and for that price the feature set is the best so go with ASUS IMO.

Good luck and have fun!

@agent2 my B450 tomahawk is on the lite bios since its not the max board and i bought it back in august of 2019 because it was all i could afford and im just not happy with it my main concern is how well the tuff will overclock and how well it will handle the 3900x if i plan to buy one in the future

The TUF will overclock a 3900X just fine and keep the VRMs within temperature. Even Buildzoid recommended it in his AM4 roundup video where he renders all the motherboards in that price class unnecessary because the TUF is the best of the bunch.

Cheers!
