MSI boards not having FAST BOOT?

Car712

Ok so, this is a bit of a rant, but I feel its absolutely ridiculous. A little while ago I purchased a "MSI X470 Gaming Plus" motherboard, I chose MSI at the time mostly because it has always been highly recommended and I have had MSI parts before, usually good quality. However, upon installing the board in my system and going into the BIOS, I discovered something was missing, something that even OEM motherboards have by default now, FAST BOOT!! I was absolutely amazed by the fact that either A: MSI felt that an X470 board did not deserve fast boot, or B: They simply forgot about it. Clearly fast boot is completely a software based thing that could have easily been added into the BIOS. As to why they did not do this? Nobody knows, I googled and searched many forums looking for an answer, no idea. It ALSO did not support full rainbow RGB in MSi's software (Which I WAS able to achieve using a 3rd party hack: https://github.com/ixjf/MSIRGB), clearly this was just plain and simple laziness by MSI, there is no reason on earth they could have not included this in the Mystic Light software. Anyways, I did end up keeping the board for too long, and am now going to sell it on ebay, I have since replaced the board in my PC with an ASRock X570 Steel Legend (which is FAR FAR better), it has fast boot, full RGB control IN THE BIOS, and an actual GUI in the BIOS to control the fans with.

Anyways, I just honestly dont get it, why on earth would MSI do this? There clearly was NO actual limitation preventing them from having these features, and I am 100% less likely to ever buy an MSI motherboard ever again because of this.

Edit: My point isint that your PC wont boot fast without it, im just saying its a very standard feature that should have been included.

True, I have an SSD too, I am likely being somewhat nit-picky about this, but its just something that should be standard these days.

Fast book skips some error detecting when during post.

This is useful for memory overclocking so common place to turn it off.

One can witness the boot process if having the LCD display. You will see less post codes with Fast Boot enabled.
