Please help with W10 search looking normal.

Bender Blues

I wont make this long... but somehow long ago, I ended up with my search looking like this in the top photo.

Can someone of you please maybe explain how to undo this and get it back to whats on the bottom pic.

In the top image you have Search, and in the second image you have the Start Menu - they aren't the same thing. Unless I'm missing something in your post..?

His search results end up looking like the top instead of a regular search like this

Right click on the desktop > Personalise > Start > "Use Start full screen", I think that might be it

Yes, thats it. Both are far off. Its painfull to get around.

Use start full screen s set to on or true.

No that's not the default search.  Default is what my earlier screenshot looks like.

OK, were getting close. Just need to get my search like your shot to default.

Its so bare, random apps in it

Just find the programs you want, right click and Pint to Start to add them to the right side of your start menu, the "tiles" part.  Not sure about why your search results look like that tho.

Ahh thats all? I've always ignored the start menu pinning because I really didnt have one, sorta :D


Just need to get search to default!

I think I got it, now I can unpin all mine in the task bar, search for them and pin them to start!
