Is the anyway to check is gpu is dead

hello i just bought a gtx 1070 online and i want to know if there is anyway to check if the card is dead or will not work. i dont have my cpu yet so i cant just turn my my pc and sees if it works. any way else???

nope, you cant check for all silicon damage even with a electron microscope

ok thanks, just been scammed before. only paid 160 with a used gtx 1060 for it so not a big lost

When you getting your cpu? To send back the card in case of any problems you usually have a few days at least, depends where did you get it as well.

Well I would message the guy and explain to him that you can’t test the gpu until Saturday cos you waiting for cpu, just in case to be secured if there is any problems with gpu.
