Is there any way to install windows 7 on a laptop that came with uefi?

Parth Patel472

So i recently tried dual booting windows 7 on windows 10 as my laptop which is asus tuf fx504gd came with windows 10 and uefi

So when i tried to install windows 7 it came to the windows 7 loading 4 dots animation then a red strip at the top that's it.It just froze there and did nothing

I've read somewhere the problem is how windows 7 handles graphics and its something to do with uefi so is there a work around to this?

Also i dont want to install win7 on vm its not practical for what i want to use it.

Windows 7 supports UEFI (so does Vista). You most likely attempted to install it on a newer CPU/Chipset (anything past Ivy Bridge or Haswell does not support windows 7). TBH dont even bother installing W7 on newer hardware, you wont find drivers for most of the stuff.

You are correct, skylake is the last supported architecture (6th gen to be exact). I stand corrected.
