I have recently bought a new system, with an ROG STRIX Z270-I GAMING and Corsair H115i platinum.

-The motherboard only has one USB 3 internal connector and one USB 3.1 internal connector.

Problem is that the AIO cooler needs a micro-usb connection, and there is an adaptor, however it is only USB 2, physically incompatible with USB 3 headers.

I want a simple USB 3/3.1 internal header to micro USB connection, without having to buy a load of bulky adaptors, as I have very little cable management space (Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV SHIFT X)

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated :)

After multiple edits.....

Look top left corner of board. Isn't that an internal usb c connector?

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

Don't forget to tag or quote in your reply if you want me to know you've answered or have another question.

Yep, but there is no simple USB 3.1/3.0 to micro USB connector (which I can find), without having to plug adaptors into adaptors

That is a Micro USB to USB-C.

What I need is a USB 3.1 to Micro USB.

I need it to connect from the motherboard straight into the AIO pump.

Imagine connecting all of the products in the images together here

Cheapest way is to get a USB header splitter.  I have a few, they work great (for motherboards lacking multiple USB 2 headers).

Definitely! I have looked everywhere however and there is no one single cable which takes internal USB 3.1 to Micro USB.

Apart from tinkering around a little with a few cables, there is nothing I can find.

I have a similar corsair unit with the same cable.  The USB 2.0 header (4 pins) is for data attached the motherboard.  The Micro USB sticks into the pump of the Corsair AIO pump.  Your motherboard has USB2.0 headers.  If you have none extra, you need a header splitter.  Though I would be surprised you have populated all of the USB headers on that board and if so - with what?

Well that's...ITX lol.  The top cable in your pics above is the right one.  $4.25 from Newegg or likely cheaper from elsewhere.  You will only use 1 row of pins

Yeah, that's what I think I will do.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a smaller cable that doesn't need three adaptors to make, as space is at a premium.

Thanks a bunch for your help though!

Now that I am reading this correctly (I was like...bruh there is a usb header on that board...but there isn't lol) Im going to dig, cause Im curious.

There is this option to shorten cable lengths in total I found:

https://www.moddiy.com/products/Premium-USB-3.0-to-USB-2.0-Mini-Low-Profile-Adapter-Board-All-Black.html

Another thought - someone here more versed in this than me (so I don't have to try to find, then understand the wiring diagram) as you should be able to take a usb 3.0 internal header to usb 2.0 header, and cut that line and splice it with your micro usb and wire it to work and make it one cable.  Going to summon @wkdpaul cause he did a splice diagram the other day for fans and he may know someone else who may know, if he doesn't know if this is possible :)

Yup, I couldn't find anything on Taobao or AliExpress, so you know it's rare when even the Chinese don't have one cable for it.

Best thing is going to be what @Tristerinposted from ModDIY, and the USB 2 header to microUSB :(

There's always a DIY way of doing it, but that's going to be quite involved, I can post pinouts and diagrams if that's something you're interested in.
