Graphics card config nightmare

Just put together a new computer msi 470 gaming motherboard with amd ryzen 5 2600 6 core nvidia graphics card 16gb ram 100gb ssd 1tb ssd 2tb hdd trying to install windows 10 (unsucessfully) even though the board is win 10 certified but Ubuntu 18.10 did load onto the 100gb ssd. I cannot get the nvidia drivers to update in Ubuntu and I cannot undate to Ubuntu 19.10. What am I doing wrong???

If you want Linux, use Manjaro instead of Ubuntu. If you want Windows, you gotta give us more info about it "failing to install".

Do you try to install the nvidia-driver with Jockey on Ubuntu?

Can you please describe what you're doing to get the 19.10 update or  how you're trying to install windows?

Would it be possible to do a clean Mint/Ubuntu 19.10 install instead of updating an older one?

You can give Manjaro a try as well, it makes the installation of drivers - and even switching between them - very easy.
