So I just constructed my own pc over just after the new year. After a short while the pc would cut off suddenly and restart instantly like someone switched it off and on again. I originally thought it was either a driver issue or overheating. I both did the reinstall of the drivers, bios and new paste on the gpu and cpu.... but still the problem is still there.( It's now done it twice when writing this.)

It does not like being on web browsing on being on intense titles like rust or day z for a couple of hours but can do fine on Kerbal space program or shell shock live but had only on crash on both of them. As for hardwear troubleshooting. I do have the original cpu and ram I had  before but I'll need to find them first as I have no idea where they are but any help as to what it may be would be grateful.

*also ran furmark and cinebench but had no crashes from either of them,*

As I recall, some motherboards have some sort of surge protection when it detects abnormal electrical current going into the PSU. I experienced something like this on my old rig (Ryzen 1600, 16gb RAM, GTX1060, Asus B350 Prime motherboard). When I did some digging, it turns out my wall socket was not giving consistent power to the PC. After I put in a Auto-Voltage Regulator, my PC stopped restarting on its own.

You also might want to do a memtest to check if your RAM is okay.

The deep blue sky is infinitely high and crystal clear.
