Making Money Online?

**Now, I will say this first, I checked and read over the CoC twice, and I did not see anything wrong with asking this question. If I am incorrect with this judgement, feel free to terminate the post immediately.**

Onto the topic at hand, what are some methods that you all would consider doing to make money online?

Personally, I'm not looking into doing this, but I've a few of my friends ask me how they can make money using their computer, and 80% of them don't have money to invest like myself. What would be some websites or organizations that would be able to help them out? It could range from a part time job using their computers, to doing something completely for lols that can make them a quick $10.

I'll make a list of things right below this text, and will add some of the Forums recommendations.

Money Making Strategies with NO upfront costs: (Other than owning a computer that can browse the web, and a few other light tasks)

- So far none that are repuatble.

Money Making Strategies with upfront costs:

- Coin Mining

- Stocks

- Currency Exchange Rates (e.g. converting USD to Sterlings, the value of sterlings increases, and then converting it back to USD for a profit)

You could do surveys all day along.

I find half of them don't pay, and  you don't make much money for doing them when you consider the time invested.

You could also go outside and get a real job.

This.

If you can't get a job, study. You'll get a better job for it later on.

Mechanical turk (an amazon company) is reputable and all, but pays complete sh*t. Seriously, you're better off just working at McDonalds with all these online "jobs". I tried mechanical turk and got sick of it. The tasks are very repetitive and boring, and the amount of money you get is just not worth it.

I went outside once. The graphics were awesome, but the gameplay sucked. It had a pretty crappy physics engine too. I was never really fond of any of the NPC's either. They gave me weird looks, it felt like Pokemon all over again.

All jokes aside, I do have a real job. Two of them. I work at Publix part time, as well as at Ashley Furniture part time. I'm a bag-boy at Publix, and I make power-points and spreadsheets as an aid to my not-so-tech-savvy father (funny how he's president of a multi-billion dollar company and he still cannot operate office sufficiently). The main reason that I want to do this is to have money that feeds directly into my stock portfolio. I started off with about $500 in stocks, and right now I'm up to $5400. I'm trying to invest as much money as I possibly can right now so I can afford to get myself into Harvard without the aid of my father (if at all possible). Harvard is about $60,000/year so I have a bit more investing to do, and I have plans of launching a business here in a few months with that money, but until then, the more startup money I can get my hands on, the better. I'm 14, so I have some time to work out some better money making plans than stocks alone, but some online solutions seemed applicable to me at the moment.

If they can't research themselves then that's a whole new level of lazy...

Not lazy, just not really wanting to waste hours of time to find a needle in a haystack. (a reputable website that I can make money with, with little to no startup costs :) )

You want to make easy money from home with little to no effort? No such thing as easy... if it existed, everyone would be doing it.

Specialize in something, then become an entrepreneur. Myself, I am a certified Green Belt in Six Sigma and also service, maintain and install automatic car washes, on top of being an all around computer/tech geek.
