Router throttling connection

Go to solution Solved by keskparane,

Try a test with QOS disabled if you have it and its on.

I'm going to make it quick.

I have a Linksys XAC1200 router that is capable of around 900Mbps. But for some reason it slows down my 300Mbps connection.

I have 300Mbps download and 30Mbps upload coming straight out of the modem. The modem is plugged straight to the router and for some reason I'm getting 140Mbps download and 210Mbps upload on my PC.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

No, the speed is always around 150Mbps.

Many reasons. First - old firmware. Second - some options are disabled or enabled in router (like NAT boost in TP-Link routers). Or even MAC address clone - I have very good router that can handle over 700 Mbits both directions, but not when MAC address clone is used. Strange, isn't? So try to use router's internal MAC addres maybe.

That's fantastic - you had 30Mbits and now you have 210Mbits upoad. :) Much faster than before. :)

(I assume you mean 20 or 10, not 210).

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.
