Ryzen 2600

16 GB 3200Mhz Corsair Vegnence

EVGA 2070 Super

running like medium to high settings 1080p 144Hz Monitor

cant get a stable 144FPS on APEX Legends...

apex is more taxing than most esports

 

granted, this is a different situation (1440p) but it is somewhat analogous.

 

I assumed I would get 165 hz easy (thats my monitor refresh rate)

 

9900k, 2080ti, definitely get 165 hz SOMETIMES(for a while) but its not stable there.  In the action, stuff going on, ill drop as low as 130 fps.

 

I realize these are different setups, but 9900k/2080ti 1440p  ::: 2600/2070S 1080p is probably comparable.

 

Apex is more demanding than most think 

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master 

 

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar

Yea was just wondering if I was doing something wrong cause it was legit triggering me so bad lol.. like why did I spend $500 on a card if I can't even get 144 FPS at 1080p ya know..  just sucks is all.
