uh need help

my taskbar is frozen and its done this multiple times like when i click the windows button on my keyboard it pops up but all of it is frozen i cant use the search or click any of the icons that i have pinned to the taskbar and the only way i can open it is by clicking the windows button because most times i can just move my mouse to the bottom of the screen and it'll pop up but it wont and i have 16gb of ram ryzen 5 3400g rx 570 1tb ssd so it isnt just being slow its something else and i dont know what it is

What does your SSD activity rate look like in Task Manager?  Sounds like a drive issue.

my whole desktop is frozen now

open run with win+r, type in cmd and then use control+shift+enter to open an admin level commandline, type in shutdown /r to make the machine restart

 

usually goes away with a restart for me

im going to restart my pc and try that because now i cant even do anything all the desktop icons are frozen and all i can do is be on chrome because i had that running before this started happening and btw i dont know if this could have been the issue maybe it was coincidental but my gpu overheated very badly right before this happend my rx 570s max temp is 75c and it hit 87 because i was playing a very old game that i just downloaded and i didnt expect it to overheat it because the graphics are very bad in it (dead island)

oh wow i cant even restart my pc i guess ill just turn it off with the case button lolol

Sounds like you need to clean install windows.

Also, 87C is not reallly overheating.
