Graphics card: 5700 xt red devil (oc bios)

When i play games in fullscreen and borderless windowed mode sometimes, normally when interacting with some sort of UI, my monitor loses signal for a second and when it comes back im on the desktop. I can still 'open' the game window but all i see is the desktop. I can still interact with things in the game normally but i am unable to see anything due to being stuck on the desktop. i tried alt tabbing out then back in, updating the drivers, wiping drivers and redownloading. pls help

Good luck man. I've had this issue for years with diff video cards. Only happens with one game and only when using Display Port. 99% sure it's been a bug since it's inception. Pretty much all you can do is turn off your monitor, flick the power switch on your monitor if you have one, and then unplug the power cord from the monitor. Give it 30 seconds and hook it back up and turn it on. I've found 3 possible fixes online, but none of em worked. Only work around is what I already stated. Best of luck.

Some monitors just don't like AMD GPUs on DisplayPort. (my Dad's doesn't like the RX 570 on DP, but has a nice time on HDMI) Try connecting with HDMI and see if that fixes the problem.
