I know all this, I was just stating that people might want to use software mode, The game I was referring to was actually not a JRPG, it was Ratchet Gladiator which I used to play with my little brother, a game from a very popular franchise. It causes color distortion and visual glitches in hardware mode while it runs smooth in software mode, another game that I have had similar experiences with (though this was on an older version of pcsx2, haven't played it on the current) Jack and daxter the lost frontier.

Never heard of either, but as long as you like it, that is all that matters. I still like the Nintendo games as a old man. Everyone likes different stuff and emulators can be very picky and the "hacks" or performance enhancements work on some games and not others.

They all seem to target the biggest titles first. Even then? Some big titles are the hardest to run on other emulators. Mario Galaxies with sound working right is just silly as far as the CPU it requires.

The rule of emulation seems to be go Intel or go home. :(. Maybe that will change with PS4 emulation. Who knows. A R9 or a 7xxx and a 8350 might work flawlessly and Intel/Nvidia might be behind for once. PS3 and Wii U emulation seem like a pipe dream at this point.

We'll have to wait and see, by the way isn't 1 TB storage a little low for you? I wouldn't cope with that.

Steam, a fast internet connection and a big portable USB 3.0 HD = no worries.

I do need a SSD though. Could have kicked myself when I missed the 250 gig at bestbuy for 89 bucks. Someone linked it on the hot deal section the other day. I was late to the party. :(
